Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Frontier (the “Service”), operated by Daniel Bywater. By using Frontier you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

The Service

Frontier is a multiplayer island-building strategy game whose base game is free to play, “as is”, for personal, non-commercial entertainment. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time.

Your account

• You can create an account with email (a sign-in link or password), or continue with Google or Apple. Older username-only accounts keep working, but new username registration is closed.
• You’re responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account. Choose a password you don’t reuse.
• Don’t impersonate others or choose a display name that is offensive, infringing, or misleading.
• Accounts are intended for players aged 13 and over; creating one is taken as confirming you meet that age (see the Privacy Policy).

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• cheat, tamper with the game, or use bots/automation against other players;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or other players’ accounts;
• upload, in feedback attachments or elsewhere, content you don’t have the right to use or that is unlawful;
• use a display name or any part of the Service for sexual content, child exploitation, threats, hate, harassment or bullying, impersonation, spam, or illegal or infringing content; or
• use the Service to harass or harm others.

We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.

Optional purchases

• The base game remains free. Premium, Coins and cosmetic products may be offered on supported platforms, but availability varies by platform and rollout.
• Purchases do not change dice odds, starting resources, turn actions, victory conditions, matchmaking strength or other gameplay outcomes.
• If Premium is offered, it may renew monthly or annually until cancelled through the provider. The provider shows the price, billing period and any trial before confirmation.
• Coins have no cash value, cannot be transferred or redeemed for money, and may be used only for eligible in-game items. A completed refund or charge reversal may remove associated Coins or access.
• Apple, Google Play or the applicable web payment provider processes payment and refunds under its terms. Statutory consumer rights still apply.
• Deleting a Frontier account or uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel a subscription; cancel it through the billing provider first to prevent renewal.

Player safety and moderation

Player-authored public content is limited to moderated display names; Frontier has no public chat or user image uploads. Use the Safety action beside a player to report or block them. Reports include the reported player and surface so we can investigate, and are reviewed as quickly as possible, normally within 24 hours. Blocking removes future social and matchmaking interaction. We may remove names or suspend accounts when necessary to protect players.

Intellectual property

Frontier is an independent implementation of a settlement/trading strategy game. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any commercial board-game publisher. The Frontier name, code and original assets are owned by us; third-party assets we use are credited in Third-party notices and remain the property of their authors.

Disclaimers & liability

Nothing in these terms excludes any consumer guarantee, right or liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Subject to those rights, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, and to the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of data or progress, arising from your use of the Service.

Changes

We may update these terms; we’ll revise the “last updated” date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
